Readying her new album for the world to hear brought out a new skill in Carrie Underwood.The country megastar reveals in a trailer for hew sixth-studio album Cry Pretty that producing her first project made sense. I had been working with David Garcia on the writing side of things,โ Carrie explains of the songwriter who became her co-producer. โWe just really hit it off. The first song that we wrote together is on the album, so it was kind of like, โI like this guy. [Letโs] write with him again.โโ Carrie previously called producing a โchallenging and incredibly rewardingโ experience and adds in the trailer that her band made the process easier. โThereโs certain chemistry the comes together when thereโs a band there and everybody feeds off of each other,โ she says. โWe got a lot of guys that I had worked with before and some that I hadnโt, and everybody brought it.โ Related: Carrie Underwood Gives Health Update: 'About 90% There'Carrie also revealed she decided to name the album after its first single because it โsets the toneโ and features โthemes that go throughout the rest of the album.โ Cry Pretty is due out September 14.
