Super Bowl LIII Halftime Show: Cardi B In Talks To Join Maroon 5

Cardi B might be hitting the halftime stage beside Maroon 5 next year — but there's a catch!

As we previously reported, the pop band officially accepted to perform at Super Bowl LIII in Atlanta on February 3, 2019. Variety confirmed the report last Wednesday (September 19) that the group's collab-heavy canon of smash hits is what made them viable contenders for the in-demand performance, including their jam "Girls Like You" with the rapper herself.

Apparently, however, hip-hop fans were not enthused to hear the event would be headed by a pop rock band given that ATL is the birthplace for some of the hottest music in hip-hop. And that's where Bardi comes in, according to what sources have told TMZ — but she isn't interested in being the side piece.

While the celebrity gossip outlet indicates the "I Like It" emcee is in negotiations to hit the main stage with Maroon 5, she's only willing to entertain the gig under the condition she gets a solo set of her own.

TMZ has also been told the "Bodak Yellow" star is receiving a lot of offers, but nothing caught her eye yet. If we had to guess, though, based on the time she'd lose spending with her two-month-old baby girl, Kulture, she's most likely not getting out of bed for anything less than the $300,000.
