Miley Cyrus & Cody Simpson Deliver Tacos To Healthcare Workers

Miley Cyrus and Cody Simpson gave out tons of tasty meals to healthcare workers this weekend.

Showing support to the medical staff on the front lines of the ongoing COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic, the musicians handed out more than 120 tacos to local hospital “heroes of our time” this past Saturday (April 4). "Tacos for the incredible healthcare workers at our local hospital!” the “Golden Thing” crooner wrote with an Instagram post showing the couple doing their part to return the love. “So grateful for these true legends of our time dedicating their lives to battling this pandemic. Show some love to yours in your community!"

Along with a clip of Simpson at work (with his new buzz cut on display), he and the “Slide Away” songbird appear in several pictures wearing medical face masks and gloves while shipping a boatload of bagged tacos with the heartfelt message, “Thank you for your support and love. Stay strong!!!”

It’s this sort of encouragement healthcare workers across the world need now more than ever as coronavirus cases continues to expand throughout the United States. Nationwide, more than 312,200 confirmed cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in the States and at least 8,472 people have died from the disease. To put these numbers into perspective, there had been just over 164,000 cases in the country on Monday (March 31).
