Storm Chasers star Joel Taylor's unexpected death on the Royal Caribbean Cruise Line Harmony ship had many, including the FBI, probing for more details as whispers of an overdose spread around the blogosphere. Now, months since the unfortunate January death, it has been revealed that Taylor did indeed pass away from an ecstasy overdose, according to his toxicology results. He was 38.

On Friday (June 22), TMZ reported thae Bureau of Forensic Sciences of Puerto Rico's statement on Taylor and MDMA poisoning served as his official cause of death. They also found traces of ketamine in his system. Back it in January, passengers on the ship told TMZ that there was an abundance of drug activity on the cruise's dancefloor, particularly ecstasy and cocaine, and the 38-year-old was partaking during his time on the ship.

One passenger, who interacted with the star, even revealed that Taylor had enough GHB on the dancefloor that he went unconscious and had to be returned back to his room by two other passengers. Olivia Newton-John and Galantis were among the entertainers for the night. At the time, a Royal Caribbean Cruise Line Harmony representative told TMZ that Taylor was found unresponsive in his cabin on January 23. Law enforcement was alerted of his state when the boat arrived in San Juan, Puerto Rico. "It appears the death could be an overdose and Joel Taylor was consuming controlled substances," they later told TMZ.
