This really touches me. My mother had a brain hemorrhage (due to complications from Lupus) when I was 16 years old. She could no longer speak, and lost her movement on the right side of her body. I can remember one day, in her hospital room, she grabbed my arm with her good hand and shook it as hard as she could. She was so frustrated that she had lost so many functions, especially being able to communicate. Unfortunately, she would never get a chance to try to regain any of the functions she lost. She had more hemorrhaging 3 weeks later and passed away.
